The January Rumour Roundabout is Starting to Turn

Well today has seen a flurry of rumour from various sources. With at least 3 players being linked with moves, and the usual names rearing their heads once again it looks like the inactivity of recent windows hasn't diminished our desire for the good old transfer speculation.

Jonathan Parr
And we start via the most reliable source of all Twitter (irony heavily intended) With the fresh of the press rumours surrounding a Norwegian left back with a very English sounding name. Jonathan Parr (lets hope he isn't like Worksops famous son John Parr, because I hate St Elmos Fire)

He plays for Aalesund in the the Tippeligaen, and has recently played for the Norwegian national team, we have an OK record with Norwegians so this on paper would be OK, but I know absolutely nothing about him, i haven't even had a chance to do a good old Football Manager check on him(the always reliable method of unknown player reconnaissance)Oh and he's 22 years old.

Steve Morison
From the Press today came the link with Steve Morison from Millwall. Apparently we tabled a £2million bid which has been turned down. Morison of course has come all through the ranks of the football league from non league to where he is now with Millwall. As many will recall he is a big physical striker, he caused us no end of trouble, however, he also appeared to be typical Millwall, insofar as knows how to use his physique for the dark arts of football. Morison is 27.

I am unsure on how much truth there is to this. for once it was in the Evening Post which offers some creedence, it's just we recently signed Tudgay with a view to a permanent move, does this spell things aren't working out with Tudgay in training? He is a Welsh international.

Luciano Becchio
Also on the striker front is a rumour which has been building for the last week. Luciano Becchio of Leeds has been linked with a fair few clubs in the last week, and we are included. The Argentine has a good scoring record this season, and is in contractual flux with Leeds, meaning we could swoop in with a cut price deal.Or arrange a summer deal for a Bosman.

He could just as easily sign a new deal and kill this rumour. I feel that too often when players are in talks that clubs interest gets thrown in by players agents to ease over a new contract with his present club as they fear losing their asset for nothing.

Darren Pratley
The Darren Pratley rumours refuse to die down, with him still being in talks with Swansea. However Premiership clubs are being linked, and lest face it, if we are against Premiership clubs we stand no chance. That being said, you never know. We still might just see Pratley in a Forest shirt. That or Neil Danns.
